Project name "Lets get together against the racism"
 

Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality organises a seminar to talk about Roma Culture and anti-discrimination and racism.

OBJECTIVES 
 
• to gather young people from different countries to talk about "Roma Culture and anti-discrimination and racism. (6 participants from each country)
• to provide that the young people learn the Roman Culture intimately,
• to assist in to personal improvement of young people,
• To build new partnerships between youth organizations and youth leaders
• To create atmosphere of common understanding between people representing different cultures, working styles, etc.
• To share knowledge and experiences. 
 

METHODS 
Non Formal Education Technics & Active Participation
Creative Workshops (presentations, discussions, simulation games)

PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTS 
 
Trainers, multipliers, voluntary/professional youth workers, who are
• Roma origin citizen or interested in learning the Roma Culture,
• open minded enough to debate/share different opinions,
• experienced in youth works,
• ready to build new partnerships and cooperation's,
• able to communicate in English.
 

DATES 
August 2013 – 5 days (Certain dates are going to be fixed together with the partners after the application form get approved.
 
VENUE 
 
Kocaeli is a metropolitan city where is about 1,5 hours far from Istanbul in TURKEY. The project will be held in city centre.

PROGRAMME-COSTS

This project is partly granted by the European Youth Programme (Action 3.1 b), by which we are able to offer you all activities, accommodation and food for free. Travel will be paid up to 70 percent. The insurances and visa costs are fully covered.
