Venue: 20 –  22 June 2019 in Berlin, Germany

Description

Are you interested in helping us capture WordCamp Europe 2019 on camera? Our Call for Photographers is now open.

Apply before 10 March 2019 to volunteer at this year’s event, using your photography, videography, or editing skills to document the magic between 20-22 June 2019 in Berlin, Germany.

Perhaps you are a Photographer who has been volunteering with us in the past (welcome back!) or you’re interested in joining the Photography team for the first time (welcome!).

Either way, we’re pleased that the Call for Photographers has caught your eye. And if you love documentary-style photography or event coverage, apply to become part of the Photography team.

We also need people with a keen eye for detail to edit photos and process them to be shared on social media during the event. That’s why we have added the role of Photo Editor to the mix.

Check out the #WCEU photo gallery to see work from many talented Photographers and Photo Editors who beautifully documented past editions of WordCamp Europe.

If you would rather shoot moving images, you can join us as a Videographer or Video Editor.

Eligibility

WordCamp Europe 2019 is open to photographers, photo editors, videographers, video editors

Fees

All roles are volunteer-based.

Application

By being part of the Photography team at WCEU, you will gain valuable experience and meet a lot of interesting people along the way, working with a group of like-minded individuals.

As an official WCEU photographer you will be expected to:

  • shoot in your own style
  • produce sharp, high quality photos/video
  • edit and post-process your images
  • release your images under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license

Like all the other roles at WordCamp Europe, photography will be volunteer based, so there is no remuneration. But it does ensures a free ticket and an invitation to the exclusive Volunteers Social as thanks for your contribution.

We said it last year, but it bears repeating: WordPress is not only about code and poetry, it is also about community, bringing people together and learning from each other.

A WordCamp embodies this like no other event and, to make it memorable, we need your help. We want you to bring your unique vision and your photo and video skills to Berlin in June.

Please fill in this form to apply.

Do not forget to add a link to your portfolio or online gallery in the form. Your application can only be considered if you provide us with examples of your work. Thank you for understanding.

Call for Photographers closes on 10 March 2019.
