Call for papers

Istanbul Gelisim University invites proposals for panels, roundtables and papers for its I International Symposium on the Black Sea and Caspian Sea Countries. The symposium will be held Tuesday, 23 October to Thursday, 25 October, and will be based at Istanbul Gelisim University, Istanbul, Turkey. The IV International Middle East Symposium that was held in April 2018 attracted over 90 delegates from 20 countries.

Panels, roundtables and papers are welcome in the following areas: Social Welfare and Economic Development; Role of Media; Academic Research and Discourse on Stability; Environment: Problems and Solutions; Social Stratification, Social Justice and Peace; State-building; Social Crises; Culture and Arts; Rights of Women; Energy Sources and Routes; Diplomacy; Power and Authority; Democracy and Human Rights; Revolutions, Coups and Political Stability; History Writing; Religion and Politics; Religious and Cultural Communities; Minorities; International Organizations; Terror and Violence.

The deadline for panel/roundtable proposals is 17 August 2018. The deadline for individual paper proposals is 31 August 2018.
