Call for application to 6th Kazan OIC Youth Entrepreneurship Online ForumContests 12.05.2020
The 6th Kazan OIC Youth Entrepreneurship Online Forum is a new platform intended for early stage startups with proven MVPs from the OIC region.
The reality of the coronavirus pandemic has exposed the vulnerabilities of the world as well as the opportunities for technology to help mitigate many problems.
The OIC Youth Entrepreneurship Online Forum is intended to help those who need help at this time: young startup founders who confused and lacking the resources to quickly adapt to the changing realities are faced with the challenge of what to do next.
The organizers of the 6th Kazan OIC Youth Entrepreneurship Online Forum are the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, Eurasian Regional Center of Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF-ERC) and Tatarstan Republic Youth Social Fund "Selet". The Forum will be held with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, Academy of Youth Diplomacy and Kazan IT Park, among others.
The Online Forum will start on June 10, 2020 and will last 10 weeks.
The Forum will provide two critical things for startup success: money and support. Creating support through well-proven resources and mentors has always been at the core of what the Organizers do well during traditional OIC forums and this will be extended to all startups within our OIC community.
The goal of the Forum is to support 200 startups from the OIC geography on their quest to finding product market fit and raise VC rounds in 2020.
What approach will be implemented during the Online Forum? At start there will be 500 startups that will go through 20 hours of lectures and 150 hours of one-on-one mentorship sessions and hundreds of resources to support early stage startups across the OIC geography. Through a series of assessments and progress reports, top startups will be selected after going through an online school spanning over 8 weeks. The school is a training ground to test assumptions, validate hypotheses and connect with like-minded peers across the world who are doing amazing things in their respective communities bringing value to people. The synergy and buzz of energy created with supervising such a highly motivated group and matching them with equally high-energy mentors is at the core of the program.
The most successful startups will have the opportunity to compete for $20 000 in cash prizes. The culmination and award will be done during a live online Demo day where we expect angel investors to commit up to $200 000 in funding to selected startups.
Don’t miss the opportunity to develop your startup and find the funding for its future promotion.
