Call for Applications — Knowledge Fellows Program






ECDAN is excited to launch a new Global ECD Fellowship program. We are looking for passionate young professionals & graduate students to enrich Global ECD Knowledge & Learning Exchange efforts and gain experience in the Global Early Childhood Development (ECD) field.


Program Purpose:

The main purpose of the program is to create opportunities for learning, professional development, and networking for young professionals and graduate students to increase their interest and engagement in the field of Global Early Childhood Development (ECD), and in so doing, to further the aims and goals of ECDAN's Knowledge and Learning exchange platform.

Apply if:

You are an early ECD career professional, Masters or a PhD student or a Post-Doc.
You have an interest in Global Early Childhood Development (ECD).

Program Overview

  • Remote position for 4 to 6 months (6-10 hrs/week)
  • Assigned mentor who is a technical leader in Global ECD
  • A stipend of 2,000.00 USD


Selection Criteria
  • Research experience
  • Organizational skills
  • Good communication skills 
  • Ability to commit the time
  • Interest in Global ECD
  • Stable internet connectivity
  • Quality of proposed project
  • Suitability to accomplish the project

  6. Early Learning Fellow
  7. ECD Policy Fellow
  8. ECD in Humanitarian and Fragile Contexts Fellow
  9. ECD Measurements Fellow
  10. Inclusive ECD Fellow

Please request your referee to submit their letter of recommendation in a separate email to letter with the email subject, "Knowledge Fellows Reference" by 5:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time on July 22nd, 2020.
  1. A letter of recommendation from an academic advisor indicating suitability for the fellowship project [1-page max]
[Note: the final projects will be co-designed by the Knowledge Fellow, the Mentor, the Steering Committee and the ECDAN Secretariat. The proposal would provide insight into the Fellow’s strengths, interests, and thinking process.]
