Call for Application: Scholarship to Support Research Activities and Publication in HungaryGrants 22.10.2018
ELTE Faculty of Social Sciences calls for applications for supporting research activities and publication in foreign language. PhD Students of the Faculty may apply until 20th May in the Spring semester, and until 20th January in the Autumn semester.
The duration of the grant is 4 academic years. The end of the grant period is 31st August, 2021. The scholarship is financed by the EU-funded Hungarian grant EFOP-3.6.3.-VEKOP-16-2017-00007.
Second-year PhD students and above may apply. The aim of the grant is to support such students’ scientific activity, who pay tuition fee and are not provided other study or scientific scholarships. Thus, other scholarships provided for the student will be taken into account during the selection process.
Guidelines for the Submission
Applications must be submitted via email to Dorottya Domanovszky [firstname.lastname@example.org] not later than 20th May in the Spring semester, and 20th January in the Autumn semester. Applications won’t be accepted after this deadline.
The email has to contain the type of the activity the student would like to get the grant for and an approximate list of costs. PhD students may request financial support for conducting fieldwork and purchasing data or documents, while in terms of publication the cost of native language proofreading can be funded.
Documents to be attached to the application:
- Letter of recommendation from the student’s supervisor.
- Statement about other study or scientific scholarships provided for the students.
- Research plan OR abstract of publication.
The amount of the scholarship to be applied for is 150 000 HUF, that is paid to the applicant as other scholarship. The available financial framework allows the support of 1 application in every semester.
Applications are evaluated until 20th February in the Autumn semester, and until 20th June in the Spring semester. Based on the recommendation of the committee delegated by the heads of the programmes in the Doctoral School, the decision is made by the head of the Doctoral School. Applicants are informed by e-mail. Winning applicants are required to sign a scholarship agreement for the payment. After completion of research activities or the publication of the paper, applicants are required to send either a research report or the scanned version of the published paper/its link in case of online publication.
Other scholarships provided for the student will be taken into account during the selection process.
