The Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Engagement and the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research & Enterprise invite applications from suitably qualified members of academic and professional services staff from Lancaster University for the post of cross-institutional Associate Dean for Enterprise and Engagement. This post is in addition to the four Faculty Associate Deans for Engagement and the Faculty Associate Deans for Research.  The post reports directly to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor Engagement but is a tripartite partnership across the Research, Enterprise and Engagement portfolios. The post will champion enterprise interface between research and engagement, the civic responsibilities of the University and their translation into income generating activities and national evaluation frameworks.  Key relationships include working closely with the Cross-Faculty Associate Dean for Research, the four Faculty Associate Deans for Research and those for engagement as well as the faculty enterprise teams to support the growth of Lancaster’s enterprise and engagement portfolios.

This post is tenable from July 2020 (or earlier if possible) and will normally be held for a period of four years. The role is at least 0.4 FTE. The Division or Department from which the Associate Dean comes will receive a funds allocation proportionate to the FTE commitment for each year the post is held.
