Why in Azerbaijan?

As more startups spring to life in the most unexpected parts of the world, entrepreneurial programs, capital and talent must now travel far to find and support the most promising founder teams.

A consensus has emerged in the last few years that entrepreneurial activity fuels innovation and economic growth in all types of economies and cultures across the globe. National policy advisors, now more attuned to the needs of their startup ecosystems, are creating rapidly expanding demand for initiatives and programs that help new firms start and scale. There is also demand for results, especially from those who fund such programs and want to be sure scarce resources are deployed to where they will have the biggest impact.

Azerbaijan – known for its striking architectural contrasts and rich cultural heritage – is in the midst of a transformation: boosted by petroleum-based revenues and a rising tourism industry is seeing an emergence of a fledgling startup ecosystem. Recent years many projects, events have been holding and business incubators  have been founding in order to support start-ups.
