Vacancy for Ambassadors | The Association of European Cancer Leagues (ECL)

The Association of European Cancer Leagues (ECL) is the only organisation with the mission of uniting, at the European level, national and regional cancer leagues to achieve a cancer-free Europe. To learn more about ECL, please visit our website:

The Association of European Cancer Leagues (ECL) coordinates a network of young activists who raise awareness on cancer prevention across the WHO European region. The ECL Youth Ambassadors programme is a voluntary commitment to promote the European Code Against Cancer (ECAC) at the national, regional and local level. Being an ECL Youth Ambassador means connecting with an EU-wide network of passionate citizens and having the opportunity to represent ECL at national and international events.

In 2020, ECL is recruiting new Ambassadors in underrepresented countries within the program to expand its network. ECL Youth Ambassadors can be students, young professionals, or volunteers from any discipline and background with an interest in health promotion and cancer prevention. Youth Ambassadors should be between 18-35 years old. The key requirement is that Ambassadors should be willing to disseminate and promote the messages of the European Code Against Cancer in their local contexts and have time to dedicate throughout the year to engage in 2 collaborative campaigns and organise at least 1 action in their country of residence.
